ECONOMIC INDICATORS:
Labor Department releases first-time claims for jobless benefits for the week ended Jan. 31, 8:30 a.m. (1330 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a median total of 340,000 new filings compared with 342,000 in the prior week.
Labor Department releases preliminary Q4 Productivity and Unit Labor Costs, 8:30 a.m. (1330 GMT). Economists in a Reuters survey forecast a median 3.0 percent rise versus a rise of 9.4 percent in Q3 in productivity and a 0.8 percent decline versus a 5.8 percent decline in unit labor costs.
