Treasury bond prices lower at midday2/4/2004 NEW YORK -- Treasury bond prices were lower at midday Wednesday. The price of the Treasury's 10-year note was down 7/32 point, or $2.19 per $1,000 in face value, while its yield rose to 4.13 percent from 4.10 percent late Tuesday. Prices and yields move in opposite directions. The 30-year bonds were down 3/8 point and yielded 4.98 percent, up from 4.95 percent late Tuesday, according to Moneyline Telerate. Two-year Treasury notes were down 1/32 point and yielded 1.77 percent, up from 1.76 percent late Tuesday. Yields on one-month Treasury bills rose to 0.89 percent as the discount rose 0.03 percentage point to 0.88 percent. Yields on three-month Treasury bills held at 0.93 percent as the discount held at 0.91 percent. Six-month yields held at 1.01 percent as the discount held at 0.99 percent.
